Rebuilding and Renovating Electric Poet...

  • Mood: Doing fine

Hi all, I had thought I was going to shut down Visions of the Electric Poet, but, I reconsidered.

I really couldn't stand to be without Jim. Not for long. Plus, there was an overwhelming protest from everyone on my e-list, and my boyfriend about killed me.

So, I'm currently working on reassembling/updating everything. Some links may not work and pages or images may be missing over the next couple weeks while I work on the site, but please continue to bear with, and thank you again for your support!!

Hi Michelle; Thank you for continuing your relationship with Jim. I think those of us who were touched so deeply by Jim and The Doors really do not have a choice. We are the ones who have been chosen to be so deeply affected on so many levels by the genius of Jim Morrison. Since 1966, when I first heard Jim and The Doors on the radio, I was transformed and conquered at a very deep level. I never knew anything or anyone could have such a profound effect on me. I can't explain my fascination and continuing interest in Jim Morrison. I had no illusions about his death in 1971. I was not one of those freaks who thought he was still alive. I felt as though I had lost my best friend and I was angry and depressed that he left us. I don't think he knew how loved he was by myself and others who he and The Doors touched so deeply. I think he would have been very surprised that he suceeded in opening the DOORS for those special people that were chosen by those mysterious unknown forces in nature that reach some of us on such a profoundly deep level. I could just here him saying "isn't it amazing". I wish I could afford to buy your artwork, since if I had the money I would definitely add it to my collection of JIM/DOORS stuff. Jim was REAL, his life was an experiment in searching for the path ways to the unknown. He did not want to be worshiped, he just wanted to be listened to. He wanted people to think and search for answers feeding their minds with his fragrant poetic imagery and shaking them out of their patterned, structured existance. He succeeded with me!
